• Alice Nord began her career as biomedical scientist but quit bench research to combine her interests in writing and science as a medical writer. Alice also writes short- and long-form sci-fi, literary fiction, and poetry. She is a member of the Geneva Wednesday Cocktail Club, a monthly creative writing group that neither involves cocktails nor is based in Geneva (but does take place on Wednesdays).

Alice has lived in Sweden, the US, France, and Japan and now splits her time between Paris and Tokyo. She writes mainly in English but is also fluent in Japanese, French, and Swedish and has dabbled in another handful of languages, with Korean next on the list.

Alice’s favourite writers include P.G. Wodehouse, L.M. Montgomery, Ernest Hemingway, Jane Austen, Amélie Nothomb, Lewis Carroll, and Vilhelm Moberg. She enjoys girl’s manga from the 70s through 90s and has an especially soft spot for ”Sailor Moon” ever since seeing the Swedish dub of the anime as a child, which kindled her continuing love for Japan and the Japanese language. Alice’s hobbies also include marathon-running (on thirteen completed and counting), weight-training, and playing video games, in particular the "Like a Dragon" series.
